• who holds the umbrella when it rains: reluctantly tobio would hold it, shouyou really REALLY wants to hold it but he’s too small and his arm is always getting pushed with the wind, causing tobio’s hair to fall victim to the rain pooling down the side of the umbrella. tobio holds the umbrella with a series of “BAKA’s” following soon after. 
  
• who is the grumpiest in the morning: NEITHER OF THEM. it’s like a race for them to see who can fall out of bed and change into their clothes the fastest, who will get to morning practice first is a competition that will follow them all the way into university so wasting time in bed is silently agreed by both of them as a BAD idea. 
  
• who worries more when the other is sick/hurt: i can imagine tobio worrying more, he always covers up his concerns by insisting it’s just because he can’t have shouyou getting injured or sick before an important game, but he actually worries and cares for the small boy on a much bigger level and can become quite panicked and frightened when shouyou is injured or sick and always overthinks the situation. shouyou thinks it’s really sweet to see his boyfriend loose himself, he feels immensely guilty for it and does everything he can to calm tobio down and to let him know it’s going to be okay and that he’s okay too. 
  
• who plays pranks on the other: shouyou would. tobio doesn’t understand what joy he gains from hiding his coffee mug in the morning or turning his clothes inside out, but he continues to do it anyway, much to tobio’s confusion. 
  
• who is always the first to suggest cuddling on the sofa: shouyou always scoot closer to tobio, he’d make sure his leg was touching his boyfriends and their shoulders bumped together. he’d continue with resting his hand on tobio’s thigh and then dropping his head to sit comfortably on tobio’s shoulder. they stay like that for a few moments before tobio can’t take it anymore and blurts “what are you doing”. shouyou’s face flames up in both embarrassment and frustration, bellowing that he just wants to CUDDLE my god kageyama-kun!! it takes another few moments for it to sink into tobio’s mind what he means (my poor poor oblivious child) but when it does he jerks his head back and sits up straight, staring down at shouyou wide eyes and then eventually falling into shouyou, muttering how much of an idiot he is. shouyou just smiles and pets the messy black mop of hair. 
  
• who insists on creating nicknames for the other: they don’t use nicknames i can’t see either of them using nicknames for each other nopppeee
  
• who drools on the other when they’re asleep: SHOUYOU!! when tobio first realizes what’s making his t-shirt stick uncomfortably to his torso he bolts up right, waking up shouyou in the process and yelling at him. 
  
• who says ‘I love you’ first: shouyou would be the one to fall for tobio early on, it takes tobio longer to realize his feelings for the other but when he does it forces himself to forget about them and to dive even deeper into his volleyball practice. but when his routine is interrupted by a clumsy confession in the gyms changing room one evening everything that tobio had been holding back fills him to the brim and spills over, pulling shouyou close into his chest and admitting his fellings into shouyou’s red ear.
